On 21st December 2013, our Metro Leos served the elderly at Lions Home for the Elders (LHE) Toa Payoh in a Christmas Party organized by our sponsoring Lions Club, Lions Club of Singapore Metropolitan.
The elderly were served snacks like traditional nyonya kueh and soy bean curd while enjoying the carolling performance by a choir group. Our Metro Leos enjoyed the evening, as much as the elderly, and let's hear from one of our Leos.
The Christmas gathering brought festive joy to the elderly. Although the elderly were not very engaged when the choir belted our melodious Christmas songs, the Chinese oldies familiar to the elderly eventually hyped up the atmosphere. It was nice to see the elderly enjoying the traditional nyonya treats and the snacks.
