On 14th June 2014, our Metro Leos successfully organized the annual Amazing Race for the underprivileged children. This year, the theme revolved around Chinatown with a twist from past years' Amazing Races. It was organized for the children from Shine Kids, with the objective to enhance their understanding towards Singapore's multi-racial culture and providing fun at the same time.
Briefing by the organizing chairpersons - William and Sita before the kids arrive...
Checking out the map to find where are all the 4 stations.
There were 4 stations in total, the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Sri Mariamman Temple, Masjid Jamae, all along South Bridge Road, as well as the Chinatown Visitor Centre. The children were tasked to complete a range of activities planned for them, all with the objectives to deepen their understanding towards Singapore history and culture.
